Manufacturer barcode (UPC/EAN)

A barcode already printed on the product, such as a UPC or EAN.

  • Amazon's guidance indicates sellers with the Brand Representative role no longer need Amazon barcode stickers for these products.

What changed in 2026

Amazon's 31 March 2026 change

Amazon announced that commingling practices end for inventory shipped on or after 31 March 2026, and that it would update eligibility criteria for using manufacturer barcodes. Before that, units from different sellers sharing a manufacturer barcode could be fulfilled from the same pool. Amazon's guidance indicates resellers are now required to use Amazon barcode stickers even for products that have a manufacturer barcode, while Brand Representatives no longer need to for products that already have one.

Next steps: convert Amazon's label PDF for a thermal printer, make labels in bulk from a CSV, or read how to print FNSKU labels.
