About freebarcodetools FBA
freebarcodetools FBA is a set of free, browser-based barcode and label tools for Amazon FBA sellers.
Free tools for FBA barcodes and labels
Sellers, and the people who prep their stock
Generate and print FNSKU labels for the units you send to FBA.
Check whether a manufacturer barcode may be an option for your products, or make FNSKU labels when it is not.
Make labels for many SKUs at once from a CSV, and print them on thermal rolls or A4 sheets.
How the barcode guidance is researched
Amazon's barcode rules change, and much of the detail sits behind a Seller Central login. This is how the site decides what to say.
Barcode guidance is based on Amazon's own announcements and Amazon staff replies first (most Seller Central help pages need a login), then on GS1, the organisation that issues UPC and EAN barcodes. Seller-forum posts by Amazon staff are named as such in the source list. Other sources, such as industry news, are treated as secondary.
Every rule the FBA Barcode Checker uses lists its sources and the date they were checked. Each result based on a rule shows those sources and the ruleset version. Compliance guides, such as FNSKU vs UPC vs EAN, show a "Last reviewed" date and their sources.
Where something cannot be verified, for example because an Amazon help page needs a Seller Central login, the site says so or uses cautious wording such as "Amazon's guidance indicates" rather than guessing.
